We have put together a list based on previous clients and our own experiences. A great starting place if you are unfamiliar with Maui or overwhelmed by the internet!
One of our favorite locations for guests is Puamana. This is a gated community with condos and homes located at the South end of Lahaina, it’s a 5 min walk to our Surf School and has it’s own private beach with a great surf spot! This is a great area for families and couples. www.puamanamaui.com.
If you would like to stay at a B&B we recommend checking out www.bedbreakfastmaui.com. This website gives an overview of some nice B & B’s on the West side of the Island.
If you prefer to stay in a house you should check out www.vrbo.com. One home that comes highly recommended is listing #90345 – located in Launiopoko, only 10 min drive to Lahaina, it’s beautiful, has amazing views and a surf spot at the bottom of the hill!
We also really love the Kapalua area, about 20 min North of Lahaina. The Ritz Carlton and Kapalua Villas are both great places to stay- there is a great beach for body boarding, body surfing and surfing. The grounds are lovely! Ritz-Carlton, Maui Beach Hotel or www.kapalua.com.
Lahaina Shores Beach Resort is located directly next door to us. Nothing fancy, newly remodeled, oceanfront condos. Walking distance to all shops and restaurants in Lahaina. www.lahainashores.com.
Aina Nalu is located in the heart of Lahaina. A little less expensive and totally remodeled, the condos are very nice inside. The grounds are simple – again, nothing fancy – www.ainanaluresort.com or www.outriggerainanalu.com.
If you prefer big resorts you will want to stay in the Kaanapali area, about 5 miles North of Lahaina. Or Wailea, on the South side of the Island (45-60 min from Lahaina and Surf School). Both of these areas have very nice beaches and all the major hotels.
