Reviewed August 12, 2012 Our family recently returned from two weeks in Maui. During that time, we made arrangements with Maui Surf Clinic to provide an instructor and boards to assist us in taking our severely disabled son surfing. Jason and Billy were tremendously helpful throughout the entire weekend. Jason was able to surf with our son for two mornings and captured most of it on video. In addition, they were able to instruct our daughter and the rest of the family so that we could join our son riding some waves. The guys helped us overcome all challenges. If you thought that there is no way you could ever try surfing, contact these guys, and they will help you to do it. Can't say enough good things about their instructional abilities and the quality of their character.

Reviewed February 18, 2012 My husband and I are in our 50's and are experienced kayakers. Kristen said that Jason would be the perfect instructor for us and he was. He took what we knew and built on it to make us comfortable paddling on the SUP boards. We both felt shaky starting out but felt good enough about the basics after our lesson that we came back the next day and rented boards so we could have fun on our own practicing and enjoying being on the water. We saw sea turtles and a large monk seal. The entire experience was great and we highly recommend this school to beginners and those who wish to polish their skills. Excellent customer experience. We left feeling like we made new friends with Kristen and Jason and will definitely go back to visit and take another lesson next year.

Message: It's been four months since our surf adventure and we're still feeling the high of riding our first waves.  Thank you Sharky for helping us get our feet wet, Billy for showing us we could surf as well as any dog, Phil for taking the awesome photos that our friends and family are tired of seeing, and Kristen for making the whole thing run perfectly so we could relax.  We WILL be back to Maui, but in the meantime are checking out some schools on the mainland for a long weekend trip in September. Billy, Kristin and Phil, It was so good to see all of you again!  You are the reason that we keep coming back to Lahaina.  Surfing with you is the ultimate experience for a not-so-young Canadian woman who normally spends winter in the cold and snow.  Your school has the perfect surf location and the best instructors.  I have always had a great time with you over the years.   Billy - You are the absolute best!  Thanks for teaching me more tricks and making me feel like a surfer girl...and my 81 year old Dad like a kahuna with the right Duke-like surfer pose.  You even knew how to end on the right wave into shore!  Mahalo!!     Phil - I finally got to look at the photos that you took.  Thank you; they are great!! and the perfect souvenir for me, as is the Lahaina sunset picture that I picked up from you last time.  I keep it my office to remind me why I work ...to make it back to Maui and to surf with you guys.   Mahalo again, Karen Webb

Tara and I just got back from our two and a half week vacation in Hawaii and I have to say the best part of the trip was learning how to surf at your school. Everyone back home is shocked that I was actually able to do it! Thank goodness I have the pictures to prove it or else no one would believe me. Even though I kind of look like a surfing muppet, I had the most incredible experience ever!  Tara and I hope to continue to learn to surf and hope one day to be back in Maui. If and when that time comes, our first thing will be to book lessons again with you again! Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. Kristin, We just want to say once again how pleased my wife and I were with the lesson that you provided to us. Jason was an outstanding teacher and we were amazed that all of the kids were able to stand-up and surf on their first try! Reviewed January 19, 2014 Me and my friend had fab time at Maui Surf Clinics. My friend took an introductory course to surfing and their instructor Jason got the entire group up and surfing in no time- very impressing! We took later a SUP- lesson as well and Jason was most patient with me as well (never ever been on any kind of board before that). There was no rushing and herding people in and out from the water and the entire experience felt like hanging out and having fun with super cool people while learning at the same time. Jason and Kat are superb in their job- fully recommend them and this place for any surface activity in the water!

Reviewed October 9, 2013 Great instruction and a great day of fun in the ocean. My wife is a much better surfer than I am. But they have instruction for all levels (and are wonderful with little kids). These guys will get anybody surfing. Most importantly, they are very safe. It's a lot of fun to get in the water and try this sport. I highly recommend surfing with this school. They even have a dog named Irene who can surf--my 6 year old daughter fell in love with the "surfing dog."

Reviewed March 3, 2014 Best surf instructors, Billy and Jason - felt like a pro surfing with them. Best customer service - Kat looked after every detail for my surfing and stand up paddle lessons. She also gave great recommendations for the rest of our time in Maui. We have been coming back every year because they make our vacation an awesome experience!

Reviewed May 21, 2013 Ok, so that's hard to back up, but I have surfed about 40 times on 4 continents and this is the first school I came across that really understands TEACHING surfing, not just giving a general idea and then pushing you into the waves. We had both Jason and Billy as instructors and both were excellent!
